Freebies- Newsletter & Language Arts Center Activity

Since I'm going into a new classroom next year, my principal encouraged me to send a note home to parents introducing myself. The current teacher has been in the classroom for 5 years and has had most of the kids for at least 2-3 years. The parents are nervous about transitioning a new teacher into the classroom. I sent a letter home with the kids last week formally introducing myself. Next, I'm going to send home this newsletter, in attempts to connect with parents and students again.

Click the pictures to be directed to my TeachersPayTeachers account where you can download the newsletter for free. Once downloaded, you can easily edit all of the text and pictures on the page.

I'm also sharing a "Say it, Build it, Write It" activity that I will be using in a Language Arts center. You can also download it for free. I printed off a bunch of them, laminated them and attached them to cookie sheets. I wrote the word for them to "say" or read. Then the students build it with letter magnets and last they write it with a dry erase marker
